Gamers need to know whether their favorite game managed to hit the most popular multimedia games of 2011 chart. Sorting out the best ones is usually easier than pointing out the moderates. 1. Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception

The third sequel of the game Uncharted was published for the PlayStation 3 platform. The story reveals around the characters Nathan Drake and Victor Sullivan accompanied by their world travel. Two old characters, Elena Fisher and Chloe Frazer, returns in the sequel. The officially stated theme of the game is “Finding The Way”. This highly critically acclaimed game has an average review of 97%.

2. Mass Effect 3

Due to publish (EA) in March 6, 2012 Mass Effect 3 is the final chapter of Mass Effect which will finally conclude Commander Shepard’s story. Applicable platforms are PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. To give it more juice of interest, events on Mass Effect 3 will be affected by the decisions made on the previous chapters.

3. Portal 2

Another sequel of the chart, Portal 2 is a first-person puzzle-platform game following the previous chapter released on 2007 and was released on 18 April, 2011. Portal 2 holds its core of teleportation and puzzle solving as it was on Portal. Almost all the elements of the previous chapter are retained as some new ones like tractor beams and light bridges are added.

4. Assassin’s Creed: Revelations

Developed and published by Ubisoft Montreal for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations is another sequel of Assassin’s Creed. As gamers remember all the three protagonists Ezio, Altair and Desmond are featured here although it is officially declared that this is the last part where Ezio will be featured. Future sequels will not be set in the renaissance era either.

5. The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword

Developed by Nintendo Entertainment Analysis and Development, the action-adventure game The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is the sixteenth sequel of the Legend of Zelda franchise. It is for the Wii platform. The story develops around Link and his childhood friend Zelda who were both raised in Skyloft, a community above the clouds. As Zelds fells into the land below the cloud after some tragic events, Link sets on a quest to save her battling the army of Ghirahim the demon lord.

6. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 or as it is more popularly known as MW3 is a first-person shooter action game and a historical moneymaker in the gaming world history. Developed for PC, PS3, Xbox360, Wii and DS. It was first released in November 8, 2011. A Japanese voice dubbed version was released on December 22, 2011 and within 24 hours made the history of earning $400 million.

7. The Elders Scrolls V: Skyrim

The action RPG is a sequel of The Elder Scrolls and is developed by Bethesda Games Studio and released on November 11, 2011 which turned out to be an immediate hit. The applicable platforms are PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. In the game, player gets to choose from a variety of race characters to play with. Choices made throughout the game would affect the final outcome and find out what it means to be the Dragonborn. The most popular multimedia games of 2011 also include Gears of War 3, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Marvel Vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds and Batman: Arkham City.
